Job Summary
Design, implement, and support high-performance, low-latency network infrastructure including WAN, LANs, and connectivity to trading venues. Monitor and analyze network infrastructure, taking corrective measures for protocols like OSPF, BGP, and QoS while maintaining security platforms such as Palo Alto firewalls and VPNs. Create automation scripts in Bash and Python to improve infrastructure efficiency and maintain accurate documentation of components and procedures. Liaise with external vendors and exchanges to implement new services and troubleshoot problems, often working outside regular business hours or in datacenters abroad to ensure uptime. Collaborate with Systems Engineers and cross-functional teams to deliver best-in-class solutions that support the trading business.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Network Engineer
- Proven ability to design, implement, and support high-performance networks
- Strong appetite for accuracy
- Willingness to go beyond standard textbook networking concepts
