Job Summary
Network Engineer sought to design, implement, secure, and maintain enterprise and federal networks in Honolulu for a government client. Responsibilities include planning, provisioning, configuring, commissioning networks; monitoring performance and incidents; documenting network architecture, configurations, policies, and compliance; conducting security planning and remediation activities; planning upgrades and modernization; communicating technical initiatives to leadership; preparing executive summaries; supporting disaster recovery and business continuity; and ensuring adherence to security standards and regulatory requirements. Requires a Bachelor's degree, 5+ years of Network Engineer experience, CCNP certification, and strong communication and leadership capabilities. This is a 100% on-site role in Honolulu, with travel to field offices as needed; U.S. citizenship is required.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Network Engineer
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) certification
- Experience planning, designing, developing, configuring, and implementing enterprise or federal network environments
- Experience supporting network monitoring and incident management systems
- Experience with federal network documentation and policy compliance requirements
- Strong expertise in network performance monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization
- Experience evaluating system performance and recommending infrastructure improvements
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience preparing reports and presentations for senior leadership
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize competing requirements and support mission-critical operational needs
- Willingness and ability to travel to field offices located in Honolulu, HI; Hilo, HI; Lihue, HI; Guam; American Samoa; Puerto Rico; Palau; Marshall Islands; Chuuk; Pohnpei; Yap
