Job Summary
Network Engineer responsible for maintaining site surveys, creating structured designs for customer networks across voice, data, security, and A/V systems; designing engineering drawings, specifications, and reports; coordinating with IT, facilities, clients, vendors, and subcontractors to analyze requirements and develop system designs, estimates, and implementation plans; implementing final network solutions for on-prem and cloud environments; managing production of network devices and architecture documentation; must possess 5+ years DoD network engineering experience, 3+ years with commercial hardware and cloud, and 2+ years network discovery experience; HS diploma or GED with potential DoD certification; knowledge of Cisco, HP/Aruba, Palo Alto, Arista, Juniper, cloud services (AWS/Azure) and structured cabling; security clearance (Secret) required; strong communication and multitasking skills; willingness to obtain IAT Level II within 6 months.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in providing implementation and engineering support for DoD enterprise networks
- 3+ years of experience with commercial hardware, networks, and cloud environments
- 2+ years of experience in conducting network discovery, including analyzing and documenting system requirements
- Experience developing and executing test and implementation plans based on requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
- HS diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification within 6 months of hire date
