Job Summary
Network Engineer with Full Scope Polygraph clearance is needed to join a SAFe-based, DevOps-aligned team supporting a large, geographically distributed IT program. Responsible for server/router/firewall configuration and security management across Windows/Linux servers, VMware, databases, and security hardware/software; collaborate on designing and provisioning IT infrastructure, monitoring mission-critical networks, and producing detailed technical documentation. Key skills include routing/switching (EIGRP, BGP, ISIS; STP, LACP, VTP), cloud networking (AWS/Azure/Google Cloud), SD-WAN, network automation, MPLS, and the ability to mentor junior engineers and communicate with leadership.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree with a minimum of sixteen (16) years of relevant experience
- In-depth knowledge of network architecture, design, and implementation
- Expertise in routing and switching technologies
- Routing protocols: EIGRP, BGP, ISIS
- Switching protocols: STP, LACP, VTP
- Proficiency in network automation
- Cloud networking experience (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of software-defined networking (SD-WAN)
- Proven ability to provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers
- Experience creating technical documentation (designs, implementation plans, technical notes)
- Skilled at briefing designs to review boards
- Knowledge of deploying MPLS networks
- Ability to learn, understand, and implement new technologies quickly
- Independent, self-directed learner with a track record of mastering complex concepts
