Job Summary
Implement and administer network solutions that meet customer business requirements and SLAs across company projects. Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define requirements and high-level design for network systems, ensuring high availability, maintainability, and reliability. Monitor and enforce network security systems and controls, including firewall products and access control policies, while managing network availability and performance. Evaluate hardware and software solutions against industry standards and participate in regular maintenance and change-management processes. Act as liaison between developers, operators, vendors, and customers regarding network hardware and software issues. Support the definition of future network architecture to increase capacity, availability, and scale.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- 2+ years of experience in network engineering or IT technical roles
- Working knowledge of routing, switching, and firewall administration
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Public Trust or Security Clearance
- Hands-on experience with enterprise firewall and security platforms, such as Palo Alto Networks, Fortinet, or Cisco ASA/Firepower
- Experience with SD-WAN and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) architectures
- Familiarity with network automation and scripting (Python, Ansible) to streamline configuration and monitoring
- Experience with cloud networking, such as AWS VPC, Azure VNet, ExpressRoute, or Direct Connect
- Exposure to SIEM, IDS/IPS, and network monitoring tools, such as Splunk, SolarWinds, or Wireshark
- Relevant certifications, such as CCNA, CCNP, or CompTIA Network+/Security+
