Job Summary
Execute network projects, perform security support including upgrades and patching in Fortinet, Cisco, and Aruba environments, and configure firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances. Conduct assessments, document configurations, and provide Tier 2/3 support for escalated issues. Collaborate with clients to translate business requirements into technical solutions and assist with firewall refreshes, upgrades, and client onboarding. Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours maintenance windows. Available for after-hours escalations and change windows. Requires 7–10 years of enterprise networking experience with Fortinet, Cisco, and Aruba, plus scripting skills. Required Qualifications
- 7–10 years of hands-on experience with enterprise networking background
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Cisco and Aruba Networks
- Strong experience with Aruba LAN and Aruba ClearPass technologies
- Experience with SD-WAN technologies, deployments and support
- Working knowledge of scripting or automation (Python, Shell scripting, and Java)
- Strong understanding of network security, segmentation, Zero Trust principles, firewall policies, and Access Control Lists (ACLs)
- Strong experience in network device patching, firmware upgrades, and vulnerability remediation
- Strong understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, NAT, VPN)
- Experience with firewall rule management, UTM features, and IPS/IDS
- Familiarity with centralized management platforms and logging tools
- Ability to troubleshoot complex network and security issues
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Experience working in an MSP or multi-tenant environment
- Aruba ClearPass certification and Firewall certifications
- CCNA and above certification
Desired Qualifications
- Fortinet NSE 4/5/6/7 certifications
- equivalent networking or security certifications (e.g., Cisco, Palo Alto, or cloud networking)
- Experience with other security platforms (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, WatchGuard, Pfsense, Meraki)
- Exposure to cloud networking and security concepts across Azure, AWS, or similar platforms
- Knowledge of business and technology processes within enterprise IT environments
- Proven experience managing and resolving technical escalations in customer-facing or enterprise environments
- Strong understanding of ITSM frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and enterprise operational best practices
- Proven experience contributing to process improvement and operational maturity
- Excellent critical thinking and emotional intelligence skills
- Knowledge of IT infrastructure monitoring systems (e.g., LogicMonitor, SolarWinds)
- University degree or college diploma in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields
