Job Summary
Design enterprise network architectures supporting cloud-hosted and virtualized infrastructure for Department of State missions. Develop secure solutions utilizing Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto, VMware NSX, SD-WAN, and cloud technologies while configuring LAN, WAN, VPN, firewalls, and routing infrastructure. Ensure compliance with federal cybersecurity standards including NIST, FISMA, and Zero Trust Architecture. Collaborate with systems engineers and government stakeholders to support modernization initiatives, disaster recovery planning, and technical reviews. Troubleshoot complex network performance and security issues across on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of enterprise network engineering and architecture experience
- Experience supporting federal government or DoD/DOS environments
- Strong knowledge of enterprise routing and switching, firewalls, VPNs, SDN, and cloud networking
- Experience with VMware, Azure Government, AWS GovCloud, or similar cloud platforms
- Active security clearance (Secret or Top Secret)

- Security+ CE or higher DoD 8570/8140 certification
