Job Summary
Support global enterprise networks as a Network Engineer focused on Campus Area Network/Local Area Network (CAN/LAN) service architecture. Document designs, evaluate new technologies in a private test lab, schedule maintenance for transitioning users, and provide technical expertise for fault isolation. Develop secure network designs compliant with Defense Information Security Agency (DISA) and obtain Authority to Operate (ATO) for new devices. Supervise network support specialists and enhance design processes. Requires TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and 10 years of experience in network engineering.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
- 10 years of experience that can be a combination of work history and education
- Compliant with DoD 8140 Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level 2
- Experience specific to network engineering including Tier III or higher network operations and/or network design
- Prior responsibility for production network hardware configurations for Cisco, Brocade, and/or Juniper
- Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard routing protocols such as OSPF or BGP
- Hands-on experience implementing and troubleshooting standard switching and trunking protocols such as VLANs, 802.1q, and port-channels
Desired Qualifications
- Network engineering and design experience specific to CAN/LAN
- Network engineering and design experience with MPLS WANs
- Experience with network management tools and firewalls
- Expert knowledge of routing and switching protocols
- Extensive BGP experience
- Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or equivalent knowledge
- Experience establishing process, developing documents, and organizing repositories
