Job Summary
Design, implement, and maintain network automation solutions to streamline provisioning, configuration, and management using Python, Bash, Ansible, and Terraform. Develop automation scripts and workflows while integrating them with CI/CD pipelines to accelerate deployment. Implement software-defined networking and network functions virtualization to support scalable architectures across multi-cloud and on-premises environments. Collaborate with cloud and DevOps teams to optimize network workflows, monitor automation processes, and document standards for enterprise use. This role supports USCIS's Office of Information Technology in modernizing IT systems, enhancing mission delivery, and enabling major initiatives such as cloud migration and software-defined networking.
Required Qualifications
- 5–7+ years of experience in network administration, automation, or related roles
- Proven expertise in: Network automation and orchestration
- Proven expertise in: Scripting with Python and Bash
- Proven expertise in: SDN, NFV, and cloud-native networking
- Proven expertise in: Automation frameworks such as Ansible and Terraform
- Proven expertise in: CI/CD pipelines for network automation
- Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills
- Ability to design automation solutions that balance performance, scalability, and operational efficiency
- Must be eligible to obtain DHS Suitability clearance
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field strongly preferred
- Advanced degree preferred
- Experience with DevOps methodologies in multi-cloud environments
