Network Architect

Job Summary
Lead technical discussions for Enterprise Network Infrastructure design, defining requirements, ensuring feasibility, and integrating new systems with existing configurations. Provide architectural direction by documenting design standards, implementation plans, and cost-benefit analyses from proof-of-concept exercises. Research emerging technologies to develop roadmaps that enhance functionality, replace end-of-life infrastructure, and reduce operational costs. Plan installations, identify resource needs, and create support documentation while training and mentoring team members on operational skills. Act as the primary escalation point for troubleshooting network infrastructure issues across multiple data centers.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Equivalent combination of education and experience
- 10+ years experience with Routing Protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF, etc.)
- 10+ years experience with Network Protocols (TCP/IP, MPLS, iSCSI and Fiber Channel)
- 10+ years experience with QoS
- 10+ years experience with Network Management
- 10+ years experience with Routers
- 10+ years experience with Switches
- 10+ years experience with Security/Firewalls
- 10+ years experience with Load Balancers
- 10+ years experience with NX-OS
- 3+ years experience in an Architect related role
- Demonstrated expertise in industry standard design principles and best practices
- Excellent communication skills
- Demonstrated expertise using Microsoft Office Suite( Outlook, Excel, Word, Visio)
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
- 3+ years experience in an Architect related role, Storage, Server/Platform, Backups preferred
- 1+ years experience in the Financial Services industry preferred
- Cisco Certified Network Professional Certification preferred
