Network and Systems Engineer

Job Summary
Design, deploy, and maintain wired and wireless network infrastructure across multiple sites in New Zealand and Australia. Manage VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, and firewalls while configuring routers, switches, and wireless devices from various vendors. Troubleshoot complex network and system issues, resolve outages, and provide second and third-level escalation support. Implement fibre networks, PTP and PTMP wireless links, and assist with IT projects including upgrades and new site onboarding. Maintain network monitoring tools, documentation, IP management, and configuration records while supporting CCTV infrastructure and remote access.
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience in network engineering and systems administration within multi-site or distributed environments
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with the ability to communicate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
- Experience administering Proxmox clusters, Ubuntu Linux, and network monitoring platforms (LibreNMS)
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving capability across network and system environments
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to support users across multiple remote locations
