Job Summary
Network and Systems Engineer role providing hands-on hardware and software support to VBHCS staff across Tennessee locations. Responsibilities include direct hardware/software support, troubleshooting system and network issues, on-site help across Cumberland Plateau and Middle Tennessee, configuring, imaging, repairing, and rebuilding desktop and laptop devices, device deployment and management, software installations and user access control, administration of mobile technologies (cell phones, MiFis), Active Directory administration, and managing facility access/security cards. Travel locally to support multiple sites; contribute to documentation/training guides for end users; effective communication and problem-solving are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of related IT support experience (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems (preferred)
- Deep hardware knowledge including device rebuilding and maintenance
- Networking: solid understanding of networking infrastructure, topologies, wireless, and mobile configurations
- VoIP knowledge and phone configuration
- Soft skills: strong communication, people skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities
