Job Summary

Network and Infrastructure Engineer responsible for the design, implementation, and ongoing support of school-level network and related IT infrastructure, including campus-wide networked AV infrastructure and faculty lab networks. Contributes to building and configuring network and infrastructure components, maintaining and troubleshooting complex issues, monitoring critical systems, and addressing performance and security problems. Focuses on secure infrastructure solutions, risk and vulnerability assessments, and remediation to protect systems and data. Serves as a trusted advisor to SEAS administrative and research stakeholders, ensuring alignment with Harvard IT standards, policies, and information security requirements. Responsibilities include provisioning rack space and server equipment in the data center, documenting configurations, and collaborating with SEAS AV Services, Facilities, HUIT, and vendors to meet community needs. Maintains awareness of emerging threats, supports security-minded operations, and participates in risk assessments and safeguarding information assets.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of two years’ post-secondary education or relevant work experience
