Job Summary
Network Analyst responsible for installation, testing, administration, and support of data and voice telecommunications hardware, software, and protocols within the Government of Nunavut ICT network environment. Manages WAN/MAN/LAN, voice, wireless, switching, and routing; collaborates with internal IM/IT teams and third-party vendors to ensure stable operation; analyzes current systems, contributes to capital planning forecasts and project documentation; installs, configures, and administers test, staging, and development networks; supports TCP/IP protocol implementation; monitors Syslog, RADIUS/TACACS, Cisco NetFlow, and network configuration management; uses Wireshark or NetScout Sniffer Global for troubleshooting; follows Change Management procedures and ITIL standards.
Required Qualifications
- A recognized college diploma in Computer Sciences, Information Technology, or a related Engineering Program
- 4 years of recent, progressive experience in a large (750+ devices), complex enterprise WAN/MAN/LAN routing and switching environment
- 3 years of demonstrated experience in the design, installation, configuration, and support of routing/switching equipment and related protocols
- Experience analyzing standard operating procedures, guidelines, policies, and business processes
- Current certifications in technologies where GN has standardized on vendors such as: Cisco and/or Mitel
- Assets: Project and contract administration experience in an enterprise IM/IT environment
- Exposure to satellite networks
- Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered

- Foreign post-secondary credentials must be assessed through a recognized Canadian education institution
