Job Summary
Configure and support Layer 2 and Layer 3 network technologies, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless networks. Design, install, and maintain structured cabling systems, network racks, and physical infrastructure. Implement approved network changes and independently manage smaller networking projects while maintaining centralized configuration management systems. Monitor network health and performance using alerting solutions to proactively identify and resolve connectivity issues. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure problems across enterprise environments and collaborate with systems and security teams to ensure reliable services. Develop and maintain network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures. Perform routine maintenance, firmware upgrades, and lifecycle management activities. Requires 3-5+ years of experience and certifications such as Network+ or CCNA.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5+ years of experience in network administration
- Experience administering enterprise network infrastructure, including switches, routers, firewalls, VPNs, and wireless networks
- Strong understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, dynamic routing, network segmentation, and Zero Trust networking principles
- Experience supporting multi-site network environments and maintaining high network availability
- Familiarity with centralized network configuration management, monitoring, and alerting platforms
- Experience creating and maintaining accurate network documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across technical teams
- Must be able to meet ITAR requirements (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State)
- Must be able to serve in compliance with U.S. export controls
Desired Qualifications
- Network+, Security+, CCNA, or equivalent industry certification preferred
- Experience supporting hybrid or cloud networking environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience participating in network architecture, design, or infrastructure modernization initiatives
- Experience with advanced routing technologies and complex multi-site network environments
- Experience implementing network segmentation, secure remote access, or Zero Trust networking architectures
- Experience supporting engineering, manufacturing, laboratory, or production
