Job Summary
This role involves designing, configuring, provisioning, and supporting the State of Colorado Public Safety Microwave and DTR customer network, focusing on IP/MPLS systems for voice, data, video traffic, and cloud services. Key responsibilities include implementing IP/MPLS networks, troubleshooting a variety of networking technologies, architecting networks for new services, and developing acceptance testing plans. Candidates should possess extensive experience with dynamic protocols such as OSPF and BGP and highly developed skills in network planning and operations, along with the ability to respond to support calls and escalations on a 24/7 basis.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in IP/MPLS network design and configuration
- Knowledge of MPLS, VRF, BGP, OSPF
- Strong hands-on experience with IP/MPLS network planning, designing, and operations
- Familiarity with network protocols and OSI models (TCP, UDP, VLAN, MPLS)
- Experience with Wireshark, PCAP applications, SPLUNK
- Usage of TACACS+ and AAA services
- Ability to work on a flexible schedule including on-call support
- Unrestricted right to work in the United States
Desired Qualifications
- CCNP/JNCP certification or equivalent experience
