Job Summary
Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot local enclave network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable operations for mission training environments. Monitor network performance, implement optimizations, and identify issues to maintain high availability. Assist in implementing security measures to protect network integrity and DoD information systems, including managing routers, switches, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems. Requires three years in a senior technical role on a DoD network with extensive hands-on Cisco infrastructure experience.
Required Qualifications
- SECRET clearance
- Associate in a related technical discipline or equivalent military training (e.g., 25B/H/N)
- DCWF Network Operations Specialist (441) at Intermediate
- Security+
- CCNA
- Network+
- Networking concepts and protocols
- Knowledge of cyber threats and vulnerabilities
- Network security principles and architecture
- Network systems management
- Troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Configuration and maintenance of routers, switches, and firewalls
- VPNs, firewalls, and intrusion detection systems (IDS)
- 3 years in a senior technical role on a DoD network
