Job Summary
Conduct approved network changes including VLAN, ACL, and port assignments while performing IOS and routing/switching equipment upgrades. Resolve systems failures and accessibility problems by gathering detailed information, analyzing incidents, and executing root cause analyses to close network tickets. Draft Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for network operations and support site surveys, engineering designs, and new network implementation projects. Work independently in remote locations to function as engineering and maintenance staff with minimal input from other tiers, employing creativity to solve difficult technical problems across the enterprise. Perform STIG reviews and implement security technical guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- IAT II
- TS/SCI security clearance with ability to obtain a CI poly
- Familiarity with both Cisco and Juniper network devices
- Strong working knowledge of the various routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, VRF, MPLS, 802.1x)
- In-depth knowledge of KG-175 Series TACLANES configuration process, fault isolation, and firmware upgrade procedures
- Working knowledge of Cisco-ISE
- High School/GED + 9 Yrs
- Associates + 7 Yrs
- Bachelors +5 Yrs
- Masters +3 Yrs
- PhD +1 Yrs
