Network Administrator - NETOPS

Tier 2 Network Administrator role within an enterprise environment. Responsibilities include coordinating with the Network Operations Center and operational staff to address break-fix, configuration updates, schedule moves/adds/changes, and technology upgrades for routers and switches; conducting approved network changes (including VLAN, ACL, and port assignments); performing IOS upgrades; upgrading routing/switching equipment; drafting SOPs for network operations; resolving network failures and accessibility issues; supporting site surveys and engineering data calls; supporting new/enhanced network implementation and technical refresh projects; working largely independently with some supervision; and performing incident analysis, root-cause analyses, and incident-ticket resolution. Required to use administrative access to provision devices, research errors, route requests appropriately, and ensure security STIG reviews. The role demands deep experience with Cisco/Juniper devices, BGP/OSPF/MPLS, TACLANES, Cisco ISE, and a strong security/posture mindset; work may occur in multiple locations and across remote sites. Education and years of experience vary by degree level, with higher degrees reducing years-of-experience requirements.
