Job Summary
Network Administrator at Navy Athletics Network Administration is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network hardware/software, documenting configurations, and supporting network infrastructure (Cisco/HPE/Aruba, VPNs, VLANs, switches/routers). Responsibilities include installing and maintaining network equipment, labeling cables, creating network documentation, researching network products and standards, supporting security camera systems (Mobotix, Axis, Lumana, AWRE, Hudl, Synergy, Keemotion), and covering events as needed. Collaborates with the USNA IT team, plans capacity, and ensures reliable network operations. Travel to worksites is minimal as needed.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred
- CCNA and CCNP Cisco certification preferred
- Security+ certification required within 90 days of hire
- Network+ certifications preferred
- A combination of education and experience equivalent to five years of experience evaluating, implementing, and maintaining computer hardware and software
