Network Administrator

Job Summary
Manage, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless networks, VPNs, SD-WAN, and cloud connectivity. Administer DNS, DHCP, IP addressing, VLANs, routing, switching, NAT, and firewall policies while diagnosing performance, connectivity, and latency issues. Support hybrid cloud environments across Azure, AWS, or GCP, configuring virtual networks, subnets, and security groups. Implement secure configurations, manage firewall policies, and partner with security teams to investigate alerts and remediate vulnerabilities. Document incidents, create SOPs, and support Infrastructure as Code initiatives using Terraform or scripting to improve operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 4+ years of experience in Network Administration, Network Engineering, or Infrastructure Operations
- Strong hands-on experience with: DNS, DHCP, IPAM
- Routing and Switching
- VLANs
- Firewalls
- VPNs
- Wireless networking
- SD-WAN
- Network monitoring tools
- Experience supporting hybrid cloud networking in Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Strong understanding of network security, segmentation, firewall management, and secure configurations
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex network issues across on-premises and cloud environments
- Experience maintaining technical documentation, diagrams, and operational procedures
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Terraform or other Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
- Experience in regulated environments such as Healthcare, Financial Services, HIPAA, PCI, or SOC 2
- Hands-on experience with one or more of the following technologies: Cisco, Fortinet, Palo Alto, Meraki, Aruba, Juniper, Zscaler
- Experience with Azure networking services, including: Virtual Networks (VNets), Network Security Groups (NSGs), Azure Firewall, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, Private Endpoints
- Experience with PowerShell, Python, YAML, or infrastructure automation
- Familiarity with monitoring platforms such as SolarWinds, PRTG, LogicMonitor, or Datadog
- Industry certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, Network+, Security+, Fortinet NSE, or Azure Network Engineer
