Job Summary
Network Administrator role responsible for installing, configuring, administering, and supporting the library's computer network. Coordinates WAN management, maintains WAN hardware to ensure connectivity between the Beck Administration Building and branch locations, troubleshoots server OS, applications, and network devices, and enforces security best practices across library electronic resources, servers, firewalls, and networking infrastructure. Installs and maintains Internet Access Manager servers and provides professional user support. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in CS/MIS and hands-on experience with Windows Server, LAN/WAN, SAN, Cisco routers, DNS, DHCP, and related network administration tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems
- Knowledge of installing, configuring, supporting and documenting Windows Server software, LAN and WAN environments, PCs, SAN, virtual servers and Cisco routers
- Valid driver's license with good driving record
- Commitment to high level of public service
- Excellent communication, collaboration and organizational skills
