Job Summary
Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks while configuring Cisco IP Phones and ISE systems. Monitor performance, troubleshoot outages, and perform maintenance tasks such as firmware updates and patch management. Implement security measures like firewalls and intrusion detection systems, conduct vulnerability scans, and enforce security policies. Analyze traffic metrics to optimize configurations and apply QoS policies for efficient data flow. Mentor junior staff, collaborate with cross-functional teams on infrastructure projects, and maintain detailed documentation and disaster recovery plans. Requires 7-10 years of experience with a Bachelor's degree; office environment with occasional on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in network administration, with at least 2 years as VOIP administrator
- Proven experience in designing, implementing, and managing complex network environments
- Proficiency with networking technologies and protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF)
- Experience with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers) from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent
- Knowledge of network security best practices and tools (e.g., firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs)
- Familiarity with wireless networking technologies and management
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively
Desired Qualifications
- Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), CompTIA Network+, Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), or similar
