Job Summary

Configure, manage, and provide technical networking support for physical and virtual environments, including hosts, operating systems, storage, routers, firewalls, and Wi-Fi access points. Test, install, and maintain network device configurations while ensuring system uptime and responding to Level 2 & 3 helpdesk tickets. Proactively monitor network issues, perform root cause analysis, and execute corrective actions to maintain efficient operations. Manage assigned projects to deliver services within established objectives, develop standard operating procedures, and document system configurations. Respond promptly during outages, recommend performance improvements, and maintain disaster recovery procedures. Conduct security assessments, implement threat prevention strategies, and generate reports for executives. Support network procurement, upgrades, and expansions while collaborating with other engineers to complete tasks within deadlines.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college with a degree in computer science or related field
  • Minimum of 7 years of applicable systems and network administration experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent collaborative and team skills
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly and non-technical language
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Current Windows Servers
  • Strong working knowledge of Internet protocols: DNS, DHCP, SMTP, HTTP, HTTPS, SFTP
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory Services, Entra ID, Office 365, and document SharePoint management system
  • Experience with VPN Appliances and Cisco Meraki Appliances
  • Working knowledge of Enterprise Antivirus, CrowdStrike, Zoom Administration, Microsoft Teams, and network security including VPNs, ACLs, IPSEC, SSL
  • Experience with Web site, intranet, and SharePoint support
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Able to develop scripted solutions to automate and/or simplify manual administrative processes and procedures
  • Experience with VMware, Hyper-V hypervisors, & cloud architecture
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity and privacy principles
  • Knowledge of Rubrik Backup and Recovery
  • Knowledge of Nessus and Splunk
  • Experience providing IT related support for a large construction bond program preferred

Desired Qualifications

  • Industry certifications such as Comp TIA Network+, Cisco CCNA, CompTIA Security+, Cisco CCNP Enterprise preferred
