Network Administrator

Job Summary

Administer, monitor, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and SD-WAN across all organizational sites. Ensure network availability, performance, and reliability through proactive monitoring, capacity planning, and timely troubleshooting. Configure security controls, manage WAN connectivity, and assist in designing network upgrades and expansions. Maintain accurate documentation, respond to incidents within SLAs, and collaborate on security initiatives and disaster recovery efforts. Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support. This role supports upgrading and standardizing IT functions globally for a diversified agricultural and specialty products company headquartered in Irvine, California.

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience in network administration or a related infrastructure role within an enterprise environment
  • Experience managing multi-site WAN environments including carrier circuit management and telecom coordination
  • Familiarity with ITIL-based change management and incident management processes
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering, or a related field
  • Associate's degree with equivalent work experience
  • Strong hands-on knowledge of enterprise networking technologies including routing, switching, VLANs, QoS, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
  • Experience with SD-WAN platforms (e.g., Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, VeloCloud, or equivalent)
  • Proficiency with firewall administration (Cisco, Palo Alto, Fortinet, or equivalent) and VPN configuration
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and network security principles
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues efficiently
  • Good communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across IT teams and with external vendors
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and a commitment to accurate documentation and change management practices
  • Participation in on-call rotation required to support after-hours network incidents and maintenance
  • Multi-site environment with occasional travel to regional offices, data centers, or vendor locations

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience with SD-WAN technologies and cloud networking concepts (Azure Virtual Network, ExpressRoute, or equivalent) preferred
  • Preferred certifications: Cisco CCNA or CCNP, CompTIA Network+, Fortinet NSE, or equivalent vendor certifications
