Job Summary
Design and configure NetSuite modules for manufacturing, inventory, procurement, order-to-cash, and record-to-report processes, including item master setup, BOM creation, vendor management, and sales order lifecycle handling. Customize forms, transactions, and approval workflows based on monetary thresholds, manage data migration via CSV templates, and set up electronic funds transfer and bank feeds. Create robust reports and saved searches for cost tracking and budget analysis, while designing complex transaction flows for outsourced manufacturing and WIP accounting. Guide the client team through end-user training, conduct walkthroughs, and assist with UAT test case execution. This part-time role supports IWS/KLA requirements with Salesforce and P6 integration awareness.
Required Qualifications
- Deep knowledge across key NetSuite modules
- Expertise in NetSuite item master setup
- Understanding and correctly configuring item types (e.g., assembly, non-inventory, services, kit, group)
- Proficiency in Bill of Materials (BOM) creation
- Proficiency in BOM revisions
- Linking BOMs to assembly items
- Handling complex manufacturing concepts like phantom items and nested work orders
- Ability to configure and manage inventory features such as lot numbering
- Ability to configure and manage inventory features such as serialization
- Ability to configure and manage inventory features such as unit of measure conversions
- Ability to configure and manage inventory features such as reorder points
- Ability to process inventory adjustments
- Ability to process inventory transfers between locations
- Detailed knowledge of vendor setup
- Understanding of financial terms
- Understanding of taxable status
- Managing purchase order (PO) lifecycles through creation
- Managing purchase order (PO) lifecycles through item receipt
- Managing purchase order (PO) lifecycles through vendor billing (invoicing)
- Managing purchase order (PO) lifecycles through approval workflows
- Understanding three-way matching processes
- Competence in managing the customer lifecycle from lead/prospect to customer status
- Creating and modifying sales orders (SOs)
- Managing pricing levels
- Configuring billing schedules (especially for milestone/progress billing)
- Fulfillment processing
- Generating customer invoices
- Setting up and maintaining the chart of accounts (COA) structure
- Setting up and maintaining segment definitions (department, location, class)
- Experience with period close processes
- Making journal entries
- Budgeting
- Bank reconciliation using bank feeds
- Ability to customize forms and transactions
- Adjusting the PO form
- Adding custom fields (e.g., for pack slip numbers or BOL)
- Configuring approval workflows for POs and SOs based on monetary thresholds or roles
- Familiarity with the data import process (often via CSV) for master data like customers, vendors, items, and fixed assets
- Ability to organize data
- Providing necessary templates (e.g., for trial balances, open transactions, or fixed assets)
- Support post migration data validation
- Specific skills in configuring electronic funds transfer (EFT) and ACH payment methods
- Collecting and securing banking details
- Linking GL accounts to bank feeds
- Generating necessary bank files (like NACHA files)
- Capability to customize and create robust reports and saved searches (database-like inquiries) for detailed project cost tracking

- Ability to explain functionality
