NETA II/III Electrical Test Technician

Job Summary
Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on electrical systems at customer sites while maintaining, repairing, and replacing high-voltage switchgear, circuit breakers, transformers, and relays. Perform protective relay testing on substations, conduct safety analyses for arc-flash hazards, and document results for management and clients. Supervise and mentor Level I and II NETA-certified trainees, ensuring consistent quality and strict compliance with NFPA70E and lockout/tagout standards. Assist in the sales process as a technical expert. Travel regionally and nationally up to 90% with some weeknights, working independently and collaboratively. Requires current NETA Level III or IV certification and 5+ years of experience.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting
- Current NETA Level III or IV
- Experience leading a small team and managing medium to large-sized projects
- Familiarity with NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Standards and NFPA70E Electrical Safety standards
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical performance deficiencies and using digital relay testing equipment (e.g., SEL 700G)
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally up to 90%
- Clean driving record
- Ability to adhere to safety standards and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in using testing equipment such as Megger and Omicron
