Job Summary
Conduct regional and national travel to inspect, test, troubleshoot, and collect data on electrical systems at customer sites. Supervise and mentor Level I, II, and III NETA-certified trainees while performing complex tasks such as maintaining switchgear, repairing transfer switches, and calibrating transformers and relays. Execute protective relay testing on high-voltage substations, perform safety analyses including arc-flash evaluations, and document results for management and clients. Ensure strict compliance with NETA and NFPA70E standards while assisting in the sales process as a technical expert. Requires current NETA Level III or IV certification, 5+ years of experience, and ability to travel up to 90%.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in electrical testing and troubleshooting
- Current NETA Level III or IV
- Experience leading a small team and managing medium to large-sized projects
- Familiarity with NETA Acceptance and Maintenance Testing Standards and NFPA70E Electrical Safety standards
- Skilled in troubleshooting electrical performance deficiencies and using digital relay testing equipment (e.g., SEL 700G)
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally up to 90%
- Clean driving record
- Ability to adhere to safety standards and procedures
Desired Qualifications
- Knowledgeable in using testing equipment such as Megger and Omicron
