Job Summary
Senior Electrical Field Service Technician responsible for testing, commissioning, maintaining, troubleshooting, and inspecting medium- and low-voltage electrical power systems (600V through 15kV) per NETA, IEEE, NFPA, OSHA, and customer standards. Lead field testing and commissioning of gear (switchgear, MCCs, ATS, transformers, protective relays, grounding, substations) and provide technical reporting, customer-facing communication, and project coordination. Requires independent project management, strong documentation, and travel to project sites with flexible schedules. Preferred qualifications include an Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Technology/Engineering and experience in data centers, utility substations, renewable energy, or mission-critical facilities; familiarity with NERC, IEEE, NFPA 70E, and OSHA safety requirements.
Required Qualifications
- NETA Certification (Level II, III, or IV preferred)
- Minimum 5 years of experience performing electrical testing and commissioning
- Strong knowledge of electrical power distribution systems from 600V through 15kV
- Experience with protective relay testing and troubleshooting
- Ability to read and interpret electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and construction drawings
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Ability to travel to project sites and work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends when required
