Job Summary
Design, develop, test, and support software solutions using the .NET web and/or desktop stack, preferably in Azure. Work with the team to manage the backlog, refine requirements, and deliver high-quality software while following a "you build it, you run it" approach. Collaborate directly with customers and stakeholders to understand needs and discuss solutions, contributing to improving team efficiency, scalability, and engineering practices. This role is located in Cambridge, United Kingdom, with a hybrid expectation of 50% on-site time.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of experience in software development, ideally using .NET web and/or desktop technologies
- Experience or strong understanding of object-oriented programming using languages such as C#, C++, Java, or Python
- Familiarity with software development practices such as version control, TDD, BDD, or similar approaches
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-driven and eager to learn
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and work through technical challenges
- A Computer Science degree or other relevant qualification, or equivalent practical experience through employment, education, self-learning, or personal projects
- Customer-focused mindset, with the ability to listen, communicate clearly, and respond to requests in a proactive and consultative way
- Curiosity, organization, and a commitment to building trust within a supportive team environment
- Must be able to work in a hybrid arrangement with an expectation of being on-site 50% of your working hours
- Must pass a drug screening and comprehensive background check before employment

- Experience with Azure, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, or cloud-based development
