Job Summary
Develop regulatory filings, including testimony, exhibits and supporting documentation, and defend net power cost regulatory filings such as general rate cases, transition adjustment mechanisms, power cost adjustment mechanisms, and avoided cost filings. Produce and analyze production cost model simulations using the GRID model and maintain Aurora model data series. Interpret the impact of modeling inputs, coordinate with other departments for consistent production cost modeling practices, and present recommendations to management. Interface with regulators and staff, respond to discovery, and communicate regulatory issues to internal and external stakeholders. Requires ability to independently perform analyses, lead or collaborate on projects, and apply knowledge of resource systems, transmission constraints, fuel costs, and wholesale contracts. Preferred advanced degree in related field.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of seven years of experience in revenue requirement preparation, net power cost simulation modeling, cost of service analysis, pricing analysis or related analytical experience
