Job Summary
Net Power Cost Analyst responsibilities include preparing regulatory filings and cost analyses for Net Power Cost, developing and analyzing production cost model simulations, maintaining data inputs and model outputs, coordinating with other departments, and supporting responses to discovery requests. The Sr. Net Power Cost Analyst adds duties such as defending regulatory filings before regulators, leading regulatory filings and testimony, interfacing with regulators and stakeholders, acting as project lead for filings, and interpreting applicable rules and regulations. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree in a related field (or equivalent experience), several years of analytical and project-management experience, strong economics understanding, and advanced skills in spreadsheets/databases/word processing.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Engineering or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of three years of related analytical work experience.
- Understanding of utility economics, as well as utility commission rules and regulations.
- Ability to independently perform analysis.
- Experience in project and/or task management.
- Proficient with advanced spreadsheet, database, and word processing skills.
- Communication and interpersonal skills including ability to consult with internal and external customers on sensitive matters.
- Ability to present alternatives and recommendations.
