Job Summary
Medical Director opportunity in Metro Atlanta integrating specialty and primary care leadership. Lead a multidisciplinary team to improve outcomes, drive population health, reduce unnecessary specialty consultations, and promote equitable care. Requires MD or DO with board certification in Cardiology, Nephrology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice or another specialty, active Georgia medical license (or eligibility), and 2+ years of clinical leadership. Strong knowledge of managed care, quality metrics (HEDIS/NCQA), data-driven improvement, and collaboration with payers and health system leadership. Beneficial skills include building and guiding team-based care, protocol implementation, and engaging underserved communities.
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO with board certification in Cardiology, Nephrology, Internal Medicine, Family Practice or another specialty
- Active Georgia medical license (or eligibility to obtain)
- 2+ years of clinical leadership or administrative experience
- Strong knowledge of managed care, quality metrics (HEDIS, NCQA), and population health principles
- Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary clinical teams
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
