Job Summary
Medical Director for Kidney Transplant Program overseeing pre- and post-transplant care, donor and recipient evaluations, inpatient and outpatient management, and administrative oversight to ensure compliance with OPTN/UNOS, CMS, DOH, and other regulatory requirements. Will work with program leadership to build relationships with nephrology communities across Indiana and beyond, guide policy and performance improvement initiatives, and may participate in or develop a research program aligned with program goals. Strong leadership, clinical judgment, and communication skills are essential; opportunity to contribute to program development and outreach.
Required Qualifications
- Board certified or eligible in nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine
- Completion of an AST accredited transplant nephrology fellowship or equivalent training in transplant nephrology
- Qualify as Primary Transplant Physician under UNOS Bylaws
- Qualify for unrestricted medical licensure in the state of Indiana
- Strong decision-making capabilities
- Excellent communication skills
