Job Summary
Nephrology Physician Assistant opportunity in Bronx, NY. In an outpatient multi-specialty practice, provide comprehensive nephrology care including patient assessments, ordering and interpreting labs/imaging, developing treatment plans with supervising nephrologist, prescribing medications (e.g., antihypertensives, diuretics, phosphate binders), patient and family education on kidney disease management, and coordinating care with dialysis centers and transplant teams. Maintain thorough EMR documentation; stay current with nephrology advances through CME and collaboration with supervising physicians. Visa sponsorship opportunities available. Flexible schedules with open options for full-time or part-time (minimum 3 days for part-time).
Required Qualifications
- Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program.
- Licensure: Must have an active New York State license. Must be board-certified or board-eligible.
- Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant (not necessarily in Nephrology). Nephrology experience is a plus but not required.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in patient assessment, diagnostic test interpretation, medication management, and electronic health records. Willingness to learn nephrology-specific procedures and treatments.
