Job Summary
Provide renal services to patients under direct care while supervising haemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis units. Conduct various clinics and ward rounds, maintain thorough medical records, and document patient notes. Collaborate with other medical units and colleagues for patient care and service improvement. Teach and train medical students, participate in quality improvement activities, and engage in research projects. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures while maintaining professional behavior with staff, patients, and visitors. Complete continuing medical education and professional development, including performance management and competency assessments.
Required Qualifications
- Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with Nephrology sub-specialty
- 5 Experience in a public hospital setting
- Specialist recognition for billing patients
- Willingness to participate in quality assurance activities
- National Police Record Check
- Working with Children Check
- Immunisation Requirements
- Driver's Licence
