Job Summary
Academic Nephrologist position (full-time) at Albany Medical College seeking an Assistant or Associate Professor to provide inpatient consults and teaching, participate in renal transplant services, outpatient hemodialysis care, hypertension clinic, and CKD outpatient programs. Responsibilities include medical education of students, residents, and fellows, potential involvement in clinical/translational research, and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team. Requires MD/DO with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology; strong clinical nephrology expertise; commitment to education/mentorship; NY licensure eligibility; and offers a competitive base salary with sign-on and relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- MD/DO or equivalent degree with board certification or eligibility in Nephrology
- Demonstrated clinical expertise in nephrology subspecialty care
- Strong commitment to medical education and mentorship
- Interest or experience in clinical research is highly desirable
- Eligibility for faculty appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor level
- Eligibility for medical licensure in New York State
