Job Summary
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans for acute and chronic kidney diseases, and manage all aspects of dialysis care including hemodialysis and peritoneal dialysis. Lead kidney transplant evaluation processes, coordinate donor compatibility testing, and provide post-transplant follow-up care while monitoring for rejection and medication side effects. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including transplant surgeons, nurses, dietitians, and pharmacists to ensure adherence to clinical protocols. Mentor junior medical staff, residents, and medical students in nephrology rotations, and participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and hospital committees. Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with regulatory standards. Requires MBBS with postgraduate qualification in Nephrology, board certification, and willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with on-call responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree with postgraduate qualification in Nephrology (DNB or MD in Nephrology) from a recognized institution
- Minimum of 4–5 years of post-residency clinical experience in nephrology, with demonstrated expertise in kidney transplant evaluation and management
- Board certification in Nephrology (or eligibility) and active registration with the Medical Council of India (MCI)
- Proven experience in managing complex renal cases, including dialysis and transplant-related complications
- Strong knowledge of immunosuppressive therapy, transplant immunology, and long-term follow-up protocols
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation standards
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced hospital setting with on-call responsibilities as required
- Commitment to ethical practice, patient advocacy, and continuous professional development
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in academic or research settings
- Prior involvement in transplant coordination or participation in transplant committees
- Familiarity with national transplant guidelines and regulatory frameworks (e.g., Transplantation of Human Organs Act)
