Neonatal Physician Assistant

Job Summary
Attend high-risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions; co-manage NICU patients with the attending Neonatologist and site-dependent well newborn nursery patients; participate in multidisciplinary rounds with the Neonatologist in the NICU and provide active management strategies including nutritional adjustments, ventilator management, lab and radiology review, and family updates. Staffing includes Level 3 in Boise with 16-hour in-house NNP coverage (4pm–8am) and Level 2 in Nampa with 24-hour shifts and on-call coverage; 1.0 FTE requires 10 shifts per month (120 annually). Ideal candidate is a PA with neonatal fellowship/residency (or equivalent Level III/IV NICU experience), PA-C licensure, and Idaho DEA/licensure with privileges, committed to evidence-based practice, teamwork, transformational care, and staff education.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant program with neonatal fellowship/residency (or 3 years minimum experience working in Level III/IV NICU)
- current PA-C licensure
- DEA registration and Idaho medical licensure with granting of privileges at SARMC - Boise and SAMC - Nampa
