Neonatal Physician Assistant

Full-time Neonatal Physician Assistant joining Saint Alphonsus Medical Group in Boise/Nampa NICUs. Responsibilities include attending high-risk deliveries and facilitating NICU admissions; co-managing NICU patients with the attending Neonatologist and site-dependent well newborn nursery patients; participating in multidisciplinary rounds with the Neonatologist, providing active management strategies (nutritional adjustments, ventilator management, lab and radiology review) and updating families. Staffing models include Level 3 in Boise with 16-hour in-house NNP coverage (4pm–8am) and Level 2 in Nampa with 24-hour shifts (minimum 4 hours onsite, remainder on-call, well NB coverage). 1.0 FTE requires 10 shifts per month (120 annually). Ideal candidate has neonatal fellowship/residency or 3 years in Level III/IV NICU, PA-C licensure, and Idaho DEA/licensure with privileges at SARMC and SAMC. Emphasis on practicing up-to-date, evidence-based medicine, teamwork, transformational care, patient care, and teaching staff.
