Neonatal Physician Assistant

Job Summary
Attend high-risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions; co-manage NICU patients with the attending Neonatologist and site-dependent well newborn nursery patients; participate in multidisciplinary rounds with the Neonatologist in the NICU by providing active management strategies that may include nutritional adjustments, ventilator management, lab, and radiology review, and updating families. 1.0 FTE (10 shifts per month) with Level 3 Boise in-house NNP coverage (4pm-8am) and Level 2 Nampa 24-hr shifts with on-site minimum 4 hours and on-call coverage; commitment to evidence-based medicine, teamwork, and teaching staff; opportunity to be part of a growing multispecialty group practice.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of a Physician Assistant program with neonatal fellowship/residency (or 3 years minimum experience working in Level III/IV NICU)
- current PA-C licensure
- Current DEA and controlled substance Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC - Boise and SAMC - Nampa
