Neonatal Physician Assistant

Attend high-risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions. Co-manage NICU patients with the attending Neonatologist and site-dependent well newborn nursery patients. Participate in multidisciplinary rounds with the Neonatologist in the NICU by providing active management strategies that may include nutritional adjustments, ventilator management, lab, and radiology review, and updating families. Staffing model: Level 3, Boise: 16-hour shifts in-house NNP coverage from 4pm-8am; Level 2, Nampa: 24-hour shifts with a minimum of 4 hours onsite, and the remainder on-call, including well NB coverage. This is a 1.0 FTE requirement with 10 shifts per month (120 annually). Ideal candidate: Graduate of a Physician Assistant program with neonatal fellowship/residency (or 3 years minimum experience working in Level III/IV NICU), and current PA-C licensure.
