Job Summary
Neonatal Pediatric Hospitalist providing comprehensive medical care to newborn patients in L&D, the newborn nursery, and the NICU. Responsibilities include autonomous and collaborative clinical duties, performing procedures (PPV, intubation, central lines, chest tubes), maintaining accurate medical records, contributing to policy development, participating in QI monitoring, acting as a resource for clinical skills, and engaging in potential clinical research. Requires IL MD license, DEA, and Illinois CDS license, pediatric residency completion, BLS and NRP certifications, and 5+ years of IP newborn or relevant pediatric experience.
Required Qualifications
- MD license in IL
- DEA license
- Illinois Controlled Substances license
- Completion of pediatric residency or equivalent
- BLS for Healthcare Provider
- NRP certification
- American Board of Pediatrics eligible or board certification preferred
- 5+ years of IP newborn or relevant acute pediatric experience preferred
- Newborn airway management
- central line placement
- newborn chest tube placement
