Job Summary
Neonatal Pediatric Hospitalist role in Elmhurst, IL requiring MD license in IL with DEA and Illinois Controlled Substances; 5+ years of IP newborn experience preferred. Provide comprehensive medical care for newborns in L&D, newborn nursery, and NICU with autonomous and collaborative duties. Perform procedures including PPV, intubation, central lines (umbilical and PCVC), and chest tubes; maintain accurate medical records; participate in quality improvement and policy development; support clinical research and act as a clinical resource for staff. Requires completing pediatric residency or master's-level specialty training; BLS and NRP certifications; ABP eligibility. Required Qualifications
- MD license in the State of IL required
- Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
- Completion of accredited pediatric residency or Master's level program in specialty area
- BLS for Healthcare Provider and NRP certifications required
- American Board of Pediatrics eligible
- Experience: 5+ years of IP Newborn (highly preferred); or other relevant acute care pediatric experience preferred
