Job Summary
Neonatal Pediatric Hospitalist role at Elmhurst Hospital in Elmhurst, IL. Provide medical care for newborns in L&D, newborn nursery, and NICU during scheduled shifts; maintain comprehensive medical records; perform and assist with neonatal procedures (PPV, intubation, central lines, chest tubes); collaborate on policy development, QA monitoring, and potential clinical research; work autonomously as well as within an interdisciplinary neonatology team to ensure optimal infant outcomes.
Required Qualifications
- MD licensure in the State of IL
- DEA license
- Illinois Controlled Substances License
- Completion of accredited pediatric residency or Master's level program in specialty area
- BLS for Healthcare Provider
- NRP certifications
- American Board of Pediatrics eligible
- 5+ years of IP Newborn experience or relevant acute pediatric experience preferred
- Newborn airway management including intubation
- Central line placement (umbilical and PCVC)
- Newborn chest tube placement
- Experience in performing PPV
- Ventilators knowledge (HFJV, HFOV, cMV, NIMV, iNO)
