Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Job Summary
Attend high-risk deliveries and facilitate NICU admissions; co-manage NICU patients with the attending Neonatologist and site-dependent well newborn nursery patients; participate in multidisciplinary rounds with the Neonatologist in the NICU by providing active management strategies that may include nutritional adjustments, ventilator management, lab and radiology review, and updating families. Staffing model/schedule: Level 3, Boise: 16-hr shifts in-house NNP coverage from 4pm-8am; Level 2, Nampa: 24hr shifts with a minimum of 4 hours onsite, and the remainder on-call, incl. well NB coverage. 1.0 FTE requirement is 10 shifts per month (120 annually). Ideal candidate details include NP program with RN/APRN licensure and board certification, or neonatal fellowship/residency with NP licensure, plus Idaho DEA licensure and privileges at SARMC/ SAMC. Commitment to evidence-based medicine, teamwork, and teaching within a multispecialty group practice.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a Nurse Practitioner program with current RN and APRN licensure; current national board certification as NNP desired OR Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program with neonatal fellowship/residency (or 3 years minimum experience working in Level III/IV NICU), and current NP licensure.
- Current DEA and controlled substance Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at SARMC - Boise and SAMC - Nampa.
