Job Summary

Collaborate with neonatologists and subspecialists to guide medical management for high-risk neonates across Level III and IV NICU settings. Provide autonomous clinical care using technical procedural skills and essential decision-making, while supporting nursing staff through patient care projects and formal education. Attend deliveries in person at medical centers and via telehealth platforms for Level I nursery sites to ensure consistent resuscitation coverage. Lead integrated discharge planning efforts with respiratory therapists, dietitians, and multidisciplinary teams to support families caring for infants beyond the NICU. Rotate between Portland and Vancouver sites to maintain 24/7 coverage, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Required Qualifications

  • Dual licensure in Oregon and Washington
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as an NICU Staff Nurse
  • Level III NICU experience preferred
  • Current applicable state RN license
  • National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
  • Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP)
  • Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges
  • NRP certification from the American Heart Association

Desired Qualifications

  • Completion of ECMO certification course
