Job Summary
Conduct 24-hour shifts in a 35-bed Level III NICU with an average daily census of 23-25, supporting a close-knit team of neonatologists, RNs, and specialists. Perform procedures including intubation, insertion of UVC, UAC, and PICC lines, and may attend high-risk deliveries as assigned. Work within a coverage model featuring a second NNP on day shifts, with an average schedule of seven 24-hour shifts per month. Assist the contracted neonatal intensivist group in delivering coordinated, compassionate care to infants across the continuum of care.
Required Qualifications
- Current Texas APRN license with certification as Neonatal NP, or ability to obtain one
- Board Certification
- Current APRN national specialty certification
- Minimum of a master's degree
Desired Qualifications
- NNP experience preferred
- New NP grads considered if 3+ years NICU nursing experience
