Job Summary
NNP – PRN in Munson Medical Center's 22-bed level 3 NICU in Traverse City. Lead the robust neonatal transport team and provide regional support within a 150-mile radius alongside an in-house neonatology team. Conduct comprehensive physical assessments, establish diagnoses, order/interprete labs and perform invasive/noninvasive procedures in collaboration with neonatologists. Manage well and critically ill neonates using a family-centered approach; prescribe medications and Neonatal Therapeutic treatments in collaboration with the neonatology team. Participate in daily multidisciplinary rounds with a broad care team, support resuscitation when needed, and coordinate with transport and ancillary staff. Shift structure is 24-hour in-house with 3 shifts every 2 weeks for full-time employment. Requires Michigan RN licensure and FNP certification; BLS and NRP required with NRP instructor status encouraged. The role supports a dynamic NICU program with access to ED, radiology, and advanced neonatal services; pediatric surgical services and ECMO are not available at this site and require transfer to a level 4 NICU.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
- Certified as Family Nurse Practitioner with the American Nurses Association
- Current BLS certification
- Current NRP certification
- NRP instructor status is encouraged
- Neonatal transport experience preferred
Additional Requirements
- Vaccination against Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella is required for all employees; annual flu vaccine or approved exemption is also required
