Job Summary
Collaborate with neonatologists, subspecialists, and obstetricians to guide the care of high-risk neonates and infants across Level III and Level IV NICU settings. Provide autonomous clinical decision-making and technical procedural skills while supporting nursing staff through patient care projects and formal education. Attend deliveries in person and via telehealth to support Level I nursery sites, and assist with discharge planning for families managing high-risk infants. Rotate between Portland and Vancouver sites to ensure 24/7 coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays. Requires dual licensure in Oregon and Washington, minimum two years of NICU staff experience, and National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive privileges.
Required Qualifications
- Dual licensure in Oregon and Washington
- Minimum 2 years' experience as an NICU Staff Nurse
- Level III NICU experience preferred
- Current applicable state RN license
- National Certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP)
- Current applicable state license as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner with Prescriptive Privileges (NNP-PP)
- Credentialed by Legacy Medical Staff for Category I and II privileges
- NRP certification from the American Heart Association
